A Human-centered EHR

When Valant set out to create a revolutionary, cloud-architected electronic health record (EHR) and practice management system, they enlisted my team at UXanimal to ensure that the UX would be as elegant and modern as as their underlying technology.

This required us to quickly understand the needs and workflows of users across many roles. One guiding ambition was to make the back end so contextual and the front end so responsive that this new system would be as intuitive and usable as the best mobile apps. To accomplish this, we developed an extensible information architecture and pattern library that, coupled with a sophisticated logic engine, enabled the system to present just the right information and functionality to the right people at the right time.

Valant was so pleased with the results our team brought to their application that they also asked us to help them rebrand the company to reflect their bold new direction. We worked with their team to create an exciting visual brand to embody their values and goals. We provided detailed brand guidelines, designed their marketing site, and developed a system of print materials, environmental graphics, videos and more.
